NDAA.com began in 2025 with a real-world challenge: build an NDAA-compliant drone at the lowest practical cost.
Where it started
Ian, an engineering student at Cal Poly Pomona, joined his uncle’s defense company in Las Vegas, Nevada as a summer intern. What sounded straightforward quickly became difficult.
Suitable components were limited, product disclosures were often incomplete, and compliance claims were difficult to verify. Ian contacted suppliers and retailers for supporting documentation. In many cases, it was unavailable, incomplete, or the requests received no response.
From a challenge to a purpose
That experience revealed a broader need for practical, affordable ways to review company and product information. Drawing on years of defense industry experience and relationships with manufacturers and suppliers throughout Asia, Ian and his uncle created NDAA.com to help suppliers build trust through NDAA PASS and help buyers understand what has been reviewed.
